Welcome to our fundraising headquarters! If you would like to be a "Friend of Pistakee", you have come to the right place. Our Community Sailing School is a nonprofit educational organization, and as such, we rely exclusively on donations to fund our school and programs. Budgetary items include our staff payroll, staff training and certification, equipment maintenance, new boat purchases, event sponsorships, marketing and publicity, insurance, facility rental, etc. The list goes on and on. Our expenses are covered completely by our course fees and especially by donations. Any and all funds we receive goes right back in to running our school. Without a doubt, fundraising is an ongoing process. We host events such as our Gatsby Gala in an effort to financially sustain our school. We also apply for grant funding, but they are often difficult to get. Several of our current fundraising initiatives are described below. We ask that you please consider donating to our school by any means possible. Any and all contributions are welcome. Donations are tax deductible. Our community, our Board of Directors, our instructors and all of the students thank you for your support! :)
GO FUND ME
Our sailing school is in the process of buying a Boston Whaler center console coach boat. The boat is used primarily for on-the-water safety and for instructional purposes during our Sailing Camps. Other uses include running our Wednesday Night Races, among other things. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to be put toward the purchase of the boat. Please click here to make a GoFundMe donation. We kindly thank you for your generosity! :)

ROUNDING THE MARK
We invite you to be a part of our Rounding the Mark campaign. Our goal is to reach the $250,000 mark over a three-year period. We raised $76,250 in our first year, with two more years to go. Funds will be used to enhance our sailing program. One goal in particular is to introduce an Adaptive Sailing course that would allow students with physical, developmental or cognitive disabilities to experience the adventure of sailing. Donors are invited to contribute an amount of their choosing over a three-year period. Possible annual amounts could be $5, $50, $150, $500, or as much as you like. Please click here to become a part of our Rounding The Mark campaign. Your support is very much appreciated. Thank you. :)

CORTNEY'S SAILING CORNER
Cortney's Sailing Corner is an annual program where we award sailing grants to qualifying students. It is designed to allow students who can demonstrate a financial need to enjoy a free day of sailing. They learn how sailboats work and practice a variety of knot tying techniques. We also try to instill respect and a healthy appreciation for the environment, plus introducing the students to STEM and how it relates to sailing. All costs are covered by the grant, including breakfast and lunch. It is truly a wonderful opportunity for those students who might otherwise not have the wherewithal to get out on the water and experience sailing and all it has to offer. Please click here to help fund our grant program. Thank you! :)
